Simple, it is your day – you should be in the moment enjoying the festivities. You don’t want to have to worry about a vendor running late or making sure your cousin is able to find parking. We are there to attend to all of that and more. We will help you prioritize your vendors, get your budget in order, provide qualified vendor referrals, accompany you to vendor meetings and know what questions to ask, review vendor contracts, negotiate on your behalf, and save you money. We have the experience in handling situations that inevitably come up to allow you to kick back and enjoy your wedding day.
Events by Yosira operates as a boutique service planning company – that means that we plan one event per weekend to ensure we are not over-committing and we give our clients the time and attention they deserve!
A coordinator is an investment in making sure your wedding day is beautiful & flawless while taking that stress & duty off you and your family. Just like you, your friends & family want to enjoy the day and celebrate with you rather than working your event for you.
We bring 15+ years of project management experience and therefore place emphasis in working the flow of your event meticulously and taking care of the logistics. We pride ourselves in being efficient and prompt to respond to our friendors (vendor network), guests and of course YOU, our client.
We tailor all vendor referrals to fit the specific client based on their style, personality, and budget. After meeting with you and getting to know more about you and your wedding, we send you vendor referrals that are selected especially for YOU!
Although the ideal scenario would be between 9-12 months prior to the wedding date, we work with couples that have booked our services up to 2 months prior to their wedding date. We recommend hiring a wedding coordinator as soon as you can to ensure we have your date available.
A venue coordinator oversees the on site staff and wedding details that are directly related to the venue (and sometimes the food and beverage as well) to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations. A venue coordinator is not there for the duration of the event &/or they have other events they are overseeing on property during the same time. It is not in their job description to confirm your vendors are on sight on time, manage your timeline, look over vendor contracts, help manage your budget or produce your wedding day celebration.
On average our couples invest on average $2,800 dollars for our services.
Yes, we can! We are very comfortable with out-of-city/state/country clients and communicating via phone, e-mail, and video conferencing.
We are based out of Maryland and service the Baltimore, MD, Washington DC and New York City (NYC) areas – and love to travel!
By emailing, calling or filling out the contact form on our website (click here). We will schedule a 20 minute, no obligation consultation with you to make sure we are a good fit and that we can meet your needs.
We will absolutely work with your choice of qualified vendors, however we have a great team of vendors that we work with should you need any referrals.
The naming convention aside, the functions of a wedding coordinator are typically to be the point person on your wedding day to attend to any vendor challenges and questions your guest may have. With the objective to execute your wedding day smoothly and timely. In order to do this, a wedding coordinator should have enough time to transition all your planning and communications with vendors and guest prior to the wedding. So usually although some may have a “day of” or “month of” attach to the title, the service is that of wedding event management.
